Julie Stewart-Drinks: Beetle House
This week’s episode of Julie Stewart-Drinks is a solo edition (more realistic to my actual night out) at a Tim Burton-themed bar in the East Village called “Beetle House.” The tiny, dark barroom is described by the bar’s website as “Every Day is Halloween” (sounds exhausting). As you can see, it’s like Nightmare Before Christmas, Beetlejuice, and Sweeney Todd had a really deformed baby, but everyone loves him. I think.
Disclaimer: I was sort of hard on this bar (Sorrey…), but truth be told, I actually went back after I reviewed it, played “Never Have I Ever” with that fishbowl drink, and woke up with one heck of a sugar (and obviously, alcohol) hangover. Well worth it. Would probably go back.
