The LA Kings Might Just Be Some Unstoppable Shit Kickers

The Los Angeles Kings don't give a shit. You want to know what the Edmonton Oilers don't have? They don't have Adrian Kempe.
They don't have Anze Kopitar.
Kopitar finished the game with a goal and an assist for 4 points. Kempe finished the night with 2 goals and 2 assists for 4 points. Their other linemate Andrei Kuzmenko, who is playing on his 3rd team this season after getting traded twice, had a goal and an assist. That's 10 total points for that line, who could have a very unfortunate nickname.
I know that everybody respects Anze Kopitar as a great two-way player and a 2x Stanley Cup Champion. But he certainly doesn't get any sort of superstar treatment. Adrian Kempe is a name that nobody outside of pretty regular hockey fans would have ever heard of. And these two guys right now are everything you could ever ask for out of guys like McDavid and Draisaitl. They have 12 points combined the 2 of them as the Kings have now scored 12 goals in 2 games against the Oilers.
Now sure, there's always the chance that the Oilers are just complete and utter dog shit. There's a chance that Stuart Skinner is the worst goalie to ever strap on a pair of pads. There's a chance that roster is filled with the dumbest dipshits in hockey who end up taking 3 penalties in the 3rd period to let the Kings run away with that game. Maybe Los Angeles isn't necessarily unstoppable, but it's more that Edmonton just can't stop anybody. Like they flat out refuse to even try stopping anybody.

But the playoffs are all about getting hot at the right moment, and you could sear the fuck out of a 1.5 inch cut ribeye on the Los Angeles Kings right now. The team is scalding hot plus they have the power of the harmonicas on their side. That's a dangerous combo in the months of April and May.
